At Saint and Forster we appreciate that planning a funeral is a very difficult time. In the current ecconomic climate we also appreciate that money is often one of the main concerns for those who find themselves in the position of having to arrange a funeral for a loved one. Many families are now ringing a number of different funeral homes to compare prices before making a decision. This can also be a stressful and difficult process and it is not always easy to make sense of the figures you are given.

At Saint and Forster we want to make this process a little easier and so we have now published our full price lists on our website so that you can have a clear idea of the cost before you even contact us if you wish. Our pricing structure aims to be clear and honest so that you will always understand exactly what you are being charged for.

We believe that as well as offering very low rates, we also offer excellent value for money because a good funeral is about more than keeping costs low, its also about giving the family the opportunity to say goodbye in the most personal and appropriate way possible. That is why we will always give you all the time you need to talk through the options available to you, and help you to cretate a funeral that will be remembered for all the right reasons.

It has been a very busy couple of weeks here, and we have lots of new ideas and projects in the pipeline that will be appearing on this blog very shortly. We are very excited about the future!

Saint and Forster are in the Good Funeral Guide!

We are delighted to announce that Saint and Forster Funeral Directors Ltd has been accepted into the Good Funeral Guide. The Good Funeral Guide is a consumer advocate site which gives advice on how to create a personal, meaningful and reasonably priced funeral. It is currently the only independent quality award available to the funeral industry. It recommends a limited number of funeral directors around the country who provide excellent and personal service along with honesty and transparency about pricing. Saint and Forster is hugely honoured to be included in the guide, particularly since we are currently the only funeral director in the North East area to be listed. We are delighted to be pioneering a new approach to funeral care in the Darlington area.

While we found out that we were going to be included in the guide in December, we decided to wait until our window stickers arrived before announcing it to the world at large…we do rather like our stickers here!

Oh, and thanks to Maria for telling us to get on with the blogging and tweeting! It was the kick we needed.

Here at Saint and Forster we believe that every person is unique and so every funeral no matter how elaborate, traditional or simple should be unique as well. When you come to us we will take as long as is needed to listen to you and help you to create a funeral that truely reflects the life, beliefs and achievements of your loved one. You are in complete control of the whole process and we will do as little or as much as you want us to. While we are looking after your loved one we hope that you will consider our premises as an extension of your own home. We will be available to give you advice and reassurance 24 hours a day and there is never a charge for our advice.
